The Power of Colors, Metals and Crystals

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to my blog!

Inanimate natural objects emit energy. We know natural substances have unique vibrations and properties that create energy fields. As dumb as a rock? Well, a rock just is. It knows how to be a rock without being told how to act. Put your hand above the rock and feel its force field. The prickly sensation of heat is the rock telling you it has experienced the ages and has untold stories to tell. Don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you how to talk to rocks, but I am going to discuss the communicative effects of color and the healing properties of metals and crystals which also derive energy and power from the earth. Using inherent energy of the natural world can help us achieve our goals.

Do you ever notice that we gravitate towards certain clothes, colors and jewelry depending on what impression we want to make and  what goal we want to accomplish? Many of us have” lucky” things that we carry with us or wear to create a positive impression. These same objects have accompanied us in the past. We tend to attribute our success to the object and look to its power time and time again. Is it a superstition, or did that object cause our success by somehow altering psyches, events and reactions creating a win – win situation?

There may be more truth to this than you might think.

Let’s take a look at the effects of color. Use blue on a job interview, black to convey power, white to symbolize innocence, red to make hearts beat faster, green to relax, yellow to get attention, pink to diffuse anger, purple to connote luxury and wealth and brown to appear reliable. Think about it. Men don’t wear red suits, brides don’t wear black, exotic dancers don’t wear white.

To which metal do you tend to gravitate? According to Mackenzie Wright’s January 10, 2013 article, “How Your Jewelry Might Effect You” on PsychicsUniverse.com website, gold symbolizes wealth and protection, silver stimulates psychic abilities, hormones and glands, copper expands consciousness and circulation, nickel encourages psychological healing, creativity and lightness of spirit while steel offers protection from psychic attacks and extreme negative energy. It makes sense that most wedding rings are made of gold which reinforces the idea of a prosperous, cooperative, co-dependent union.

Crystals cleanse, protect, revitalize, calm, activate, energize, absorb, stimulate, stabilize, protect, regulate and release organs, glands, systems and chakras. Crystals are personal to their users and must be free of energy from others. According to Judy Hall’s article, “Crystals For Healing and Healers” in the November/ December 2015 issue of Wisdom, use Rose Quartz to attract love, Black Tourmaline or Smoky Quartz to counteract mobile phone emanations and Black Tourmaline, Smoky Quartz and Amethyst to turn back ill-wishes and jealousy, Amethyst to fight inebriation, Quartz or Charoite to absorb negative energy, Labradorite to protect energy, Azurite and Lapis Lazuli for headaches, and Green Aventurine, Green Flourite or Jade to prevent others from draining your energy. This is only a partial list, but you can get more specific suggestions online.

Crystals must be charged and recharged by your positive energy, dedicated to the highest good and also cleansed regularly under running water, then left in sunlight to dry or placed overnight in uncooked brown rice.

We are surrounded by things that help us on our path to self-discovery and reaching our goals. Sometimes we must look outside ourselves to nature and what is natural and know how to use their powers to our advantage. This may seem strange at first, but that doesn’t negate the effects of their energy.

Maybe you’ll look at rocks differently. Maybe you won’t. In any event, try to get in touch with the energy emanating from the natural world. Let me know how you do. I’d love to hear from you.
