Follow The Sun!

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to my blog!

Take care of  your psyche on beautiful days. Leave the indoor chores for rainy or blustery sub-zero wind chill days or when the temps are too hot to handle. The basement and the garage aren’t going anywhere. They’ll wait.

Nobody sings on the way to cleaning out the closets. Think about it.

Breathing fresh air, communing with nature and letting our imaginations soar are necessary in order to thrive. Visit museums and ruins where minds are transported to another time and place. Explore quaint towns. Walk. Run. Ski. Skate. Bicycle. Sail. Cruise. Collect sea shells, rocks or leaves. Take photographs. Breathe deeply. Walk barefoot.  Look for constellations or shapes in the clouds. Sit. Be still. Close your eyes. Meditate. Reflect. Listen.

In the May/ June 2015 issue of Brickell Magazine, Estrellita S. Sibila’s article, “Peace In, Peace Out” tells us…”When was the last time you connected with nature? Felt the grass and damp soil on your feet or wiggled your toes in the sand? Our ancestors benefitted from Earth’s powerful electrons and you can, too. Your immune system operates at optimal levels when you have an adequate amount of electrons in your body which are easily and naturally obtained by having barefoot contact with the ground. Next time you’re outside, take off your shoes  and spend some time digging your feet into the grass. Let the energy enter your body, flirt with your soul and do its dance.”

These behaviors may take only a few minutes but their impact is great. Next time you feel compelled to organize, sweep and scrub, listen to the weather report. Sunshine? Take care of your soul. Bad weather? Take care of your home.

Now, that’s a habit worth developing!

Please let me know how you do. I’d love to hear from you.
